We make every effort to create a trusted atmosphere in which people can experience God in a down-to-earth, yet profound way.  In other words, we are committed to delivering the gospel (it's why we do what we do), with excellence (we are intentional about what we say and do), authenticity (we are not perfect, but we're real), and relevance (we meet people where they are).  So grab a cup of coffee, come on in, and find your place in God's story and our family.

Here's What to Expect:

Our Celebrations consist of four major components: Teaching, Fellowship, Communion, and Praise and Worship (Acts 2:42).

Each service usually begins and ends with Praise and Worship songs, both old and new.  Music is an effective way to prepare us to receive and help us respond to the Word of God and Communion.  Some people stand, others sit; some raise their hands, others quietly reflect.

After our opening song(s), we continue worshiping God through giving.  There are offering boxes located in the lobby and at every entrance to the auditorium (or click here for online giving).  This is an opportunity for members and regular attendees to give back to the Lord to support His work.  Those who are new to River Valley should feel no obligation to give.  Also, at this time we take a couple minutes to greet those around us.

For the next thirty minutes or so, there is a Teaching that is Bible-based and practical, lending itself to real-life application.

Communion is served after the Teaching.  Those who are followers of Christ are welcome to partake, as we remember His life, death, and resurrection.

During and following communion, there are prayer and ministry teams who pray with anyone who has a need, whether physical, emotional, or spiritual.  We worship the Lord in song through all of this.

We like to laugh. We believe that church should be encouraging and refreshing. We hope you can relax and have some fun along the way.
